We've joined the Argyll Community Lottery!

romhc Tuesday, 14 February 2023

Like so many individuals and businesses, we are starting off this year with the realisation that we have to do something drastic with our finances to cope with the rocketing electricity costs. We depend almost entirely on donations to keep open. Many donations happen when visitors come in person to the centre. This year we will be expanding our opening hours back to our pre covid times of a full day Monday through Friday. However this alone will be unlikely to cover all our costs. So as an incentive for donating we have joined the Argyll Community Lottery and invite you to take part. Tickets are just £1 each and 50p of that comes back to us, and a further 10p goes to other charities in Argyll and Bute. In return you get the chance in the weekly drawings of winning prizes including the jackpot prize of £25,000. If this interests you please take a look at our page and give it a try.

The Trustees

The Ross of Mull is an extraordinary microcosm of all that draws visitors to the Hebridean Islands. The scenery, as you travel along the single-track road from the ferry at Craignure is breath-taking. You experience in the many walks in the area a true sense of wilderness; the secret bays with their beaches of silvery sand, the abundance of wildlife and the innumerable marks on the landscape of the lives of past generations and communities long gone. The Ross of Mull is a compelling place for anyone fascinated by history and the ancient way of life of the Gaelic people.
