RoMHC 2022 AGM

romhc Thursday, 22 December 2022

The Ross of Mull Historical Centre Annual General Meeting for 2022 is to be held at 2pm on Saturday 14th January 2023 at the Ross of Mull Historical Centre, Millbrae Cottage, Bunessan.

The formal AGM will be followed by a presentation by Iona artist Mhairi Killin who will talk about her recent collaborative project, On Sonorous Seas, which began when a whale carcass washed ashore on Iona in 2018. It is a story told with the voices of science, art, music and poetry, and  it explores the impact of military sonar on the ecology of the seas surrounding the Hebrides.

Links to the Agenda, Accounts and Trustees Report are below. All are welcome to attend. Full Members (those whose main residence is on Mull, Iona or associated islands) and Honorary Members have voting rights.

We wish you a Happy New Year, and thank you for your continued support. Hoping to see you at the AGM.

Best wishes

RoMHC Trustees

The Ross of Mull is an extraordinary microcosm of all that draws visitors to the Hebridean Islands. The scenery, as you travel along the single-track road from the ferry at Craignure is breath-taking. You experience in the many walks in the area a true sense of wilderness; the secret bays with their beaches of silvery sand, the abundance of wildlife and the innumerable marks on the landscape of the lives of past generations and communities long gone. The Ross of Mull is a compelling place for anyone fascinated by history and the ancient way of life of the Gaelic people.
